Scott Collins and Amber Davis Collins

Adventure, Scott and Amber have decided, is a bus ticket purchased with foreign currency, a backpack stuffed with life's necessities, just enough money to get back home, and a camera to document it all with. Combined, the two of them have spent six years abroad and visited thirty-four countries on six continents.

Scott, who hails from Maryland, is a commercial credit analyst. Besides photography, he enjoys tending to his two aquariums, studying foreign politics, and container gardening. He is a Big Brother in the Big Brother Big Sisters program and invests monthly in international microcredit lending organizations. Scott has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Southern Adventist University. While in college, he took a year off from his studies to construct water systems for Hilltribe communities in northern Thailand. Scott's photography has been featured in the Chattanooga Times Free Press.

Amber, a Georgia native, works in the pesticides program of the Environmental Protection Agency. Previously she served as a crop extension volunteer with the Peace Corps in Honduras. For the two years that she was there, Amber worked with women's groups to improve nutrition through crop diversification. You can read about her experience in the book A Life Inspired: Tales of Peace Corps Service. In her spare time, Amber likes to read nonfiction, travel, and of course, work on her photography skills. Her work has won Peace Corps, Earth Day, and cultural photography competitions. Amber has a Master's Degree in Agricultural Education from the University of Georgia.

Scott and Amber met in Central America in 2003 and eloped to the West Indies in 2005. They currently reside in Atlanta with their ornery cat, Maya, and her sweet sister, Kuna. They (Scott and Amber, not Maya and Kuna) can be reached by e-mail at scottandamber@lifeunscriptedphotography.com
